Tiger "Fusion" Woods To Resume World Domination At Torrey Pines (Jan 25) Then Riviera (Feb 15)

I hope you’re sitting down for this — Tiger Woods is officially on track to resume a full Tour schedule for 2018. He is also 100% on track to remain incredibly predictable. Always has been, always will be. On December 19th, I wrote this about Torrey Pines:

It’s a mortal lock Tiger will kick off his 2018 szn here.

I wrote this on Tuesday. Today is January 4th:

By my calculations, we are just 23 days away from Tiger “Fusion” Woods’ next start. I believe he will tee it up at Torrey Pines on January 25th. That should be announced this week (announced on January 4th last year).

About Riviera, I said this in December:

Tiger committed to play here last season before nearly dying from persistent back issues; it’d be shocking if he didn’t commit soon.

The guy plays places he likes and places he’s won. Always has, always will. Having said that, he hasn’t played Riviera since 2006, but he’s now the host there and it’s where he made his Tour debut.

In 1992. As a 16-year-old.

The fact that he’s playing a couple weeks apart, and at tough venues, tells us the health is not a concern. Excellent news.

Tour play starts today in Hawaii. Tiger returns to Torrey in 3 weeks. Everything is going according to plan, folks — 2018 will be a memorable year for professional golf.
