ICYMI: Sixers Score First W, Ben Simmons Gets 1st Triple Double, Embiid Drops 30

LOTTA jazz going around for your 1st place in the NFL Philadelphia Eagles (as well as certain happenings and wars in and around the Barstool empire). But I’d be remiss to give the Sixers their due dance. This is, after all, Barstool SPORTS.

Sure, they’re 1-3, but that was a solid first W vs. the Pistons for the boys last night. Ben Simmons is an absolute gem. A GEM. Is 21, 10, and 12 a good night? I guess so.

Ben Simmons is the only to record a triple double in his four games with exception to Hambone Williams. HAMBONE. WILLIAMS. Benny also joins Oscar Robinson as the only players in NBA history to have at least a double-double in their first 4 games. He also is a hare out there on the court.

And then there’s JoJo who dropped a casual 30 and 9 in 28 min (piss on that restriction). 7 turnovers is a wee high, but nothing that can’t be improved upon. Joel also whipped it out on Andre Drummond both on, and off the court (via Philly.com):

“Defensively, he doesn’t play any defense. When we started the game, he was being aggressive and he was talking, too. … So what I was like [in my mind] ‘You want to do that? I’m going to kick your [butt] then. So that’s what I did.”

Taste it, Andre. Taste it tough.
