You Better Stand Your Ass Up For The Pledge Of Allegiance If This Kid Is In Your Homeroom Class

Listen. I’m just as sick of the national anthem debate as everybody else. You want to protest? Go right ahead. You want to be angry about the protest? Go right ahead. Both sides are right at points, both sides are wrong at points. That’s not the point of this blog.

The point here is when you have a kid in your class who is wearing American Flag cowboy boots…

Then you stand your ass up for the Pledge of Allegiance. I don’t care what kind of point you’re trying to make. It doesn’t matter. It’s just basic survival instincts at that point to stand up. It’s like taking a trip to an African jungle and running around with a belt of raw meat around your waist and then being surprised when you immediately get attacked by a pride of lions. You sit down for the Pledge of Allegiance around this kid and he’s going to make you stand one way or the other. I’m not here to say whether either side is right or wrong. It’s just life. The kid with the American Flag cowboy boots and American Flag shirt is going to want to kick your ass if you sit down for the Pledge or the National Anthem. The same exact way that water is wet and the sun is cold.
