This Video Of Every Last Out From The Last 50 World Series Is Baseball Porn

Mets fan trigger warning, Fast forward past 0:09-0:17 and 1:44-1:56

What a basic but great fucking video. Even if a World Series sucks, every postgame celebration outside of the ones won by the Yankees, Phillies, or Braves is a Must Watch for me. A 162 game MARATHON, followed by a however many games-long sprint through the playoffs, and a release of emotion after that last out that can only be matched by the end of a Peter North video. I couldn’t tell you most of what happened in most of those series, but I feel like I remember most of those celebrations (again, outside of 2015 and 2000 which I have never and will never watch). For all the shit people give baseball, you can’t deny that when the World Series is over, it just feels like a piece of American history is being written into a text book right in front of your face.

Jesus, I started turning into James Earl Jones from Field of Dreams for a minute there and was about to go full Ken Burns on you guys. I didn’t even know the World Series was on tonight until I saw someone tweet it this morning (go Astros btw, #utleyubuttley). Time to bring this blog away from Bob Costas’ voice and back to Barstool’s by remembering maybe THE greatest postgame moment in World Series history. That’s right, I’m talking about Rikk Wilde after the 2014 World Series.

“Technology and stuff” + this reaction = The GOATiest GOAT to ever GOAT in GOAT history

And I know Portnoy says no free ads, but you gotta tip your cap to a company that knows their sales rep mistakenly struck gold while bumbling around on baseball’s biggest stage.
