Fallen Soldier's Sister Calls Trump A "Fat Fucking Liar" For Saying His Predecessors Didn't Call Families Of The Fallen

Yesterday.

Trump made this dumbass statement yesterday. Detailed how he calls and writes families of the fallen, then accused his predecessors of not doing the same. That’s bullshit. It’s incredibly distasteful to turn this into a point of contention, especially when it’s not true.

Many folks, including former Obama officials, immediately expressed their outrage.

Delilia O’Malley, whose brother was killed in Iraq, called Trump a fat fucking liar.

Today the story gained more legs as the White House claimed Obama did not call General John Kelly when his son was killed in Afghanistan in 2010.

Conflicting reports have come out about how that process unfolded.

Trump and the White House are taking much heat for making this sensitive topic a political talking point.

As they should. The semantics on this don’t matter. Of course Bush, Obama, and every other president made calls and wrote letters to the families of the fallen. That’s obviously the hardest, shittiest, worst job of the president. To demean it by attacking your predecessors is cheap, inappropriate, and dumb.

I’m generally all for Trump picking fights. It’s great for content and I work in the content business. But not this one. This one sucks. Trump should’ve never discussed, for any reason, how his predecessors handled families of the fallen. It’s petty and disrespectful. Huge fucking miss on this one.

The focus should be on honoring the four U.S. elite troops killed and two injured in an ambush in Niger on October 4th. Those troops are heroes, miles above this BS.
