Devin Hester All But Makes His Departure From The Bears Official

Not a shocker, not even close. Most dynamic returner in NFL history but this obviously had to happen. It’s the right move to not give him a contract. His skills have diminished and he isn’t worth what some team will pay him to be a returner/receiver, the latter of which we know all to well he can not play, especially not on this WR rich team. The Bears have far too many holes on defense to invest in a special teams player, that’s just a stone cold reality. And I bet he does break the record, he still has a few left in him, it just won’t be here. Great Bear, one of the most exciting players to watch in the history of the game, sad day, but the right move.
