Kevin Durant - Very Good At Basketball, Not So Good At Throwing Insults At Bloggers.
First college football weekend of the season is here, you know what that means, trash talking different college teams is back. Terps hung a cool 51 spot in their win at Texas, and held a nice lead early on. Naturally, I sent a tweet to the most famous Texas athlete in recent history, Kevin Durant. I asked a simple question. What is softer? Is it Kevin Durant or Tom Herman’s new Texas Longhorns. Turns out it was Kevin Durant.
Terps were ahead big when I saw my phone buzz. “KDTrey5 responded: your mother”. That is what he comes up with? A YOUR MOTHER JOKE? Woooooo boy. Couldn’t be my favorite player responding to a tweet asking if he’s soft with a “your mother” joke, no way. Decent numbers on the tweet, I will give him that. But Jesus Christ KD, feed into the narrative more. I was expecting to be put on a poster when I saw he responded, but this was more of the Sam Dekker tripping himself. You wouldn’t see Kobe or Michael responding to a guy calling him soft by saying “your mother”. An absolute piss poor attempt on the Slim Reapers part.
Kevin then told me he doesnt know me so that is why he couldn’t have a better response…..umm okay. Naturally I have to ask him if he wants to come on Pardon My Take, a podcast I have 0 affiliation with. Let’s see if KD decided to accept the offer…
Hard no from the champ. Have to ask at least. I let him know that he was deep in his feelings cuz now he started name calling. This goes back to my original statement. SOFT. Guy let 3 tweets from a no name blogger get in his head and got his pissed off. What a nutcase. Tried to pull the “you’re not mad at me” Big Daddy line, but god damn auto correct messed that up.
Some guy jumped into this very civilized conversation I was having with Mr. Durant and said something to piss him off. Kevin politely pointed out that we both have other men in our profile picture. He’s very observant.
Guy can’t even recognize greatness in a profile picture when he sees it. SMH. Also, he said we have other men in our profile pics, it’s god damn 2016, so let’s just chill out. Plus, can we take a look at his avi? He gets on us for having another guy in our picture then doesn’t have a picture of himself? I’m confused AF.
Back to the story, I told Kevin he was getting in his feelings because he called me an asshole, and rightfully so, but I still thought it was funny all it took was 3 tweets to get him upset.
Had to throw a Kanye line at him when he got soft again, and then pointed out that HE is the one who brought name calling and mothers into this. I don’t let just anyone talk about my mother. You have to be a 2-time World Champion to talk about her, not yet, Kevin.
Then the nail in the KD coffin came. “you right, I apologize.” May put that on some shirts and wear them around. Got KD bowing down and basically kissing my feet now. I told him it was cool and we’re even now, because I honestly felt bad for the guy. Piss poor insults, and then had to apologize in front of his 16 million followers to a blogger.
All in all, it was nice to have KD put himself in a bodybag and show us all that that he is soft as a Leesa Mattress. He’s worked on his postgame, mid-range, and his three point shot, but jesus christ man, work on your insults, you bum.
In the end it was tough. Texas Football was top 25 and lost to a Terps team that hadn’t beat a ranked team on the road since 2010, and Kevin Durant had to join a 73 win team to finally win a ring. But after that PATHETIC showing today, KD wears the crown.
