Jayson Werth Returned To The Nats Lineup Yesterday And Hit A MONSTER Bomb

Holy smokes, that was CRUSHED. So nice to have Jayson Werth back in the lineup. He hasn’t played since June 3rd, and he came back in a big way last night, hitting a bomb that nearly went into the concourse, complete with an exceptional bat flip and trot around the bases.

Not to be outdone, the guy who caught the ball was FIRED UP

And making his first start since August 13, Scherzer was as good as ever, going 7 innings while surrendering only 5 hits and picking up yet ANOTHER 10 strikeout game. That was his 14th 10+ strikeout game of the season, like an absolute madman.

Filthy.

The Nats lineup which has been without Eaton, Werth, Turner, and Bryce is finally getting the pieces back. Werth last night, and even better news, Trea is back TODAY!

Awesome, awesome news.

The Nats maintained a 13 game division lead without big parts of the lineup, so Dusty will be able to ease guys back in, not overwork them (lol) and have everyone happy and healthy for the postseason. Just one more month til October, buckle up buckeroos.
