Hero Cop Picks Up A Bomb And Runs Away From 400 Schoolchildren

IT- A policeman in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district has become talk of the town, after his superheroesque deed. Head constable Abhishek Patel from Sagar Police saved the lives of as many as 400 children.  Patel took a 10 kg- bomb on his shoulder and sprinted for nearly 1 kilometre in a bid to save the students of a school in Chitora village. A 12-second video clip of Patel running with the bomb on his shoulder has gone viral on social media. Many have drawn parallels with the scene from Tom Hanks’ classic Forrest Gump. Patel told media persons that his sole objective was to take the bomb far away from the school and residential area. Chaos unfolded after anonymous call was made to 100 informing about the presence of an explosive in the school. Acting on the information, police rushed to the school. A teacher from the school said that after police found the bomb, they were asked to shut the school. Nearly 400 students were present in the campus when the bomb was found. Amid the bedlam, Patel valiantly picked up the bomb and started a sprint that lasted for nearly a kilometer.

HERO BALL! This isn’t a particularly funny story but it isn’t a sad one either cause no one got hurt or died. It’s a feel-good story about a heroic cop and no one ended up dead which means I can laugh at the way that dude was running with that bomb. Laugh out loud funny. I could watch that man run with that bomb for the rest of eternity. He looked borderline happy to be sprinting off with an explosive device. I’m not convinced he’s not still running with that bomb. He looked like he was ready to run a marathon with that thing. He’s like Forrest Gump just with a bomb over his shoulder. Also, not to shit on this guy caused he literally saved 400 lives, but I feel like your knee-jerk reaction to a bomb on the ground shouldn’t be, “Oh shit, I better pick that sucker up and run with it.” I get that it was heroic but that is for sure not what it says to do in the What To Do When You See A Bomb manual.
