The Yankees Beat That Little League Team From Queens AGAIN And Aaron Judge Hit A Ball 600 Feet

I love the Mets. They’re just so adorably awful at baseball and it’s so fucking great to play them. I’m not going to lie, Sunday night was DEVASTATING. It brought very, very bad ideas into my head about this season going down the drains, but you know what the Yankees needed, better yet what I needed? To play the goddamn New York Metropolitans. Three games later and morale is through the goddamn roof. I feel like I could conquer the world this morning. So let’s not beat around the bush anymore, I contained myself for almost 80 words, but holy fucking shit where did Aaron Judge’s home run land?

And for the Spanish version, because everything in sports is better in Spanish

The reactions from CC and Tyler Wade were priceless

I mean Statcast saying this went only 457 feet is a blatant lie. This went to the fucking 500 level at Citi Field. When they built the stadium they probably couldn’t fathom a ball being hit up there. The construction workers were probably cementing the seats in and looking out on the field and just laughed at the possibility of a ball landing up there. There’s just no way this ball didn’t travel over 500 feet. There’s just no way. If you don’t have a shirt already, and quite frankly there aren’t many that don’t, you best be buying one right now.

Back to the adorable little league team called the Mets. With Flores and Reyes scratched with injuries, Terry Collins was forced to start Travis d’Arnaud at third base last night, a position the catcher had never played before. He had to borrow David Wright’s glove for Christ’s sake. In a stroke of genius, Collins moved d’Arnaud all over the field as the game continued, in an attempt to hide him from the possibility of a ball hit to him.

It was something I’ve truly never seen before and it couldn’t have been a more Mets thing to happen. The funny thing is it actually worked to perfection as not one ball was hit to him until the 9th inning.

The game was somehow tied in the 7th, when Didi stepped to the plate with the bases juiced and two outs. In classic Didi fashion he ripped a two run double down the line to put the Yanks ahead for good.

If you don’t think Didi is a top 5 shortstop in all of baseball this year you’re simply just a hater. He’s been fucking awesome on both offense and defense and next to Hicks is probably one of the best all around players on the team. He’s only making $5 million this year and is under team control for the next two which is music to my goddamn ears. And to think all it cost was Shane Greene. Brian Cashman you are a wizard.

Lets get the brooms out tonight what do ya say? Time to get Sevy back on track against Steven Matz. Lets fucking roll into Boston oozing with confidence and keep the momentum going.

P.S. This is a tough look for Chapman
