Fox News Host Eric Bolling Suspended For Alleged Sexual Harassment; Called Guest "Dr. McHottie"

Daily MailA Fox News guest who says she was sexually harassed by Bill O’Reilly claims she was also on the receiving end of unwanted advances made by the network’s now suspended host Eric Bolling.

Caroline Heldman, a 44-year-old Associate Professor of Politics at Occidental College in Los Angeles, made ‘hundreds’ of appearances on Fox between 2008 and 2011, many of which were on Bolling’s show Bulls & Bears.

Between appearances, she claimed Bolling, 54, – who was suspended from his co-hosting role on The Specialists last week for allegedly sending photographs of his genitals to several female colleagues – called and texted her to invite her to New York to ‘have fun’.

On one occasion when she was in town, he took her into his office and told her it was his favorite place to have sex, she said.

He called her ‘Dr. McHottie’ on air and, she said, would sometimes call her afterwards to apologize ‘and then do it again’.

‘I pushed back with “Mr. McSexist,” but I shouldn’t have had to,’ Heldman said on Saturday, adding: ‘This on-air behavior was perfectly acceptable to Fox executives at the time.’

Heldman was among a handful of women who came forward last year to allege they had been sexually harassed by ousted host Bill O’Reilly.

On Saturday, she recalled how he was ‘creepy in person’ and claimed to have once told her: “When I was in college, professors didn’t look like you.”

‘[He] then called me “hysterical” during a show, edited the interview, and retaliated by never having me on his show again,’ she said.

She also claimed to have witnessed inappropriate behavior from Gene Simmons and Lenny Dykstra.

On Sunday, Heldman told MSNBC’s Joy Reid she continued appearing on the network because she ‘interrupt the script’.

‘You want to work. This is your life’s work.

‘You have spent years gaining expertise so that you can do this.

‘I particularly wanted to do this at Fox even though it’s a lot harder than the networks that I’ve been on because I wanted to interrupt the script so for me it was my life’s passion and my life’s passion was cut short because of sexual harassment and had I spoken out about it it would have been cut short years earlier.’

In May, Heldman claimed in court documents that producer and TV executive Woody Fraser, claiming he ‘pressured’ her for both a relationship and sex.

Look there’s a lot going on here. I don’t know who’s right or who’s wrong. I’m anti-sexual assault. I don’t know if Bolling was sexually assaulting people or not. He denies all claims. I don’t know to what degree I believe Dr. McHottie here who seems to have accused everyone under the sun of some sort of sexual misconduct. Maybe she’s right. Maybe she’s wrong. Bolling has been suspended indefinitely while Fox figures it out. Whatever. We’re not here to talk about that.

What I’m here to talk about is this name “Dr. McHottie.” Laugh out loud funny stuff. How the fuck was Eric Bolling casually calling this chick Dr. McHottie ON THE AIR and getting away with it!?

With the Bill O’Reilly accusations and Bill subsequently being forced out and the Roger Ailes accusations and Roger subsequently dying you’d think they’d be extra careful here. I know this was a while ago but come on. Dude’s calling this attractive female guest who’s famous for advocating for women and stuff “Dr. McHottie” on the air? Red flag city when you’ve got a systemic sexual harassment problem.

PS — How long til Smitty calls some girl “Dr. McHottie” on camera?
