CNNThe US detected a ballistic missile launch out of North Korea at approximately 10:45 am eastern time on Friday, the Pentagon confirmed to CNN.

They are assessing the launch and will have more soon.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told Japanese broadcaster NHK: “I have received the first report that North Korea again launched a missile and it possibly landed inside the exclusive economic zone.”

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said the missile launched by North Korea possibly flew for approximately 45 minutes.

Suga told reporters there is no damage to any vessel or aircraft — adding that the missile is believed to have fallen in Japan’s exclusive economic zone.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff have also confirmed that North Korea fired an unidentified missile.

Look I’m all about fair coverage here. Neutral coverage. Moderate coverage. I call it how I see it. When North Korea sucks and can’t get a bottle rocket in the air, I cover it. And when North Korea succeeds and gets an intercontenintal ballistic missile in the air, I cover it.

Huge congrats to North Korea today. Big day. All week we’ve been hearing about how they’re going to nuke the U.S. homeland “tomorrow,” and under pressure they delivered. Did they nuke us? No. But they got a missile in the air when they don’t always get a missile in the air and for that I’m proud of them.

Congrats to North Korea. And they got it into the prestigious economic zone? Hell of a summer Friday. These dudes are pumped.
