DailyMail- It’s been more than 20 years since Jagged Little Pill topped the charts. And now Alanis Morissette’s 1995 album is set to be turned into a musical, which will debut next year. The 42-year-old said the production, which will tell the story of a multi-generational family, was her ‘musical theatre dream come true’.

The Jagged Little Pill musical – directed by Diane Paulus and written by Diablo Cody -will premiere at the American Repertory theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in May 2018.

If you’re a 90s kid like myself, this might just be the best news of 2017. It’s been well documented that Alanis Morisette is the one artist I’ve yet to see in concert that is on my bucket list. I’ve seen a ton of my favorites already, but Alanis is my white whale. Why, you ask? Because of Jagged Little Pill. It’s one of the best albums of all time. Front to back, there’s not a single song that isn’t a banger. Here, take a listen:

Now imagine that as a broadway musical. I know, I know, not everybody is a musical guy. I’m not even a musical guy! I’ve seen 3 broadway shows ever, which really isn’t a lot for someone who’s family has worked on broadway for many generations. Every now and then one will come around where I’m intrigued, like Hamilton, which I got obsessed with and paid $1,300 for a ticket to (very worth it, by the way). Jagged Little Pill on broadway, though? Try $13,000. Me, Chaps, and All Biz Pete are going to have the time of our lives at this show come 2018 because we….are true 90s kids.
