Trump Gets Testy, Ends Oval Office Interview After Being Asked About Wiretapping Claims

Here’s a look at the full exchange that led up to the abrupt ending.

And here we have a classic case of Twitter Trump putting President Trump in a real tough spot. One Saturday morning several months ago Donnie woke up, heard something from someone, blasted out a couple tweets about Obama illegally wiretapping, and has been grilled about it ever since. Here he is taking bullets in the Oval Office to clarify exactly what he meant then and what he’s meant since. And he clearly can’t take it. He hates it. He said last week that the presidency is harder than he thought, that it’s more work than his previous job

Source: “I loved my previous life,” he told Reuters. “I had so many things going. This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.”

He mutters about how “everybody’s talking about it” — a hilarious line, I’ll give him that — and ends the interview like a baby. That’s not an anti-Trump stance that’s a common sense observation. This whole clip is absurd. Anyone who fretted Donnie didn’t have the temperament, that he wasn’t presidential enough to handle the presidency, looks from this clip to have very properly placed their concern.

Dickerson: “You called him sick and bad… you stand by that claim about him?”

Donnie: “I don’t stand by anything. I just, uh, you can take it the way you want.”

What? Crazy town.
