Mark Zuckerberg Confirmed Facebook Is Working On Reading Your Mind/Telepathy And The Details Are WILD
Telegraph - Facebook is developing technology to let users communicate using only their thoughts, the internet giant confirmed on Wednesday night.
A secretive division at Facebook’s California headquarters has been experimenting with mind-reading technology for several months, the company revealed.
Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder, has previously described telepathy as the “ultimate communication technology”, but the social network’s ambitions have been unclear.
At Facebook’s annual developer conference on Wednesday, Regina Dugan, head of the company’s experimental technologies division Building 8, said Facebook was working on “optical neuro-imaging systems” that would allow people to type words directly from their brain at 100 words per minute: five times the speed possible on a smartphone.
“It sounds impossible but it’s closer than you think,” said Ms Dugan, who joined Facebook from Google last year and previously led DARPA, the US government’s advanced defence research division.
She said that allowing people to rapidly transcribe thoughts would allow them to privately send texts and emails in an instant, but said the project was only the beginning of Facebook’s mind-reading efforts. Ms Dugan suggested that in the future, people may be able to share thoughts directly, removing the barriers of different languages. “You may be able to share your thoughts independent of language: English Spanish or Mandarin, they become the same,” she said.

I saw this headline and at first I brushed it off as a click-bait headline that would hold no merit whatsoever. But because of that, I obviously clicked it and boy how wrong I was. This shit is fascinating. Zuckerberg is inching us closer into living in episodes of Black Mirror (great show if you haven’t watched it). Zuck legit wants to invent telepathy.
And it’s not just bullshit- he has a “secretive division” at Facebook. Can you even imagine what that means? He has his own Area 51 within Facebook where they are doing mind/brain experiments.
Look- I’m a big conspiracy theory guy. I think you’re naive if you don’t believe there is all sorts of shit going on out at Area 51 and within the government similar to Men In Black. We 100% have cloned dinosaurs, alien colonies, you name it. We have the smartest of the smart people in the world, living off the grid who basically are testing limits of human technology. And now Zuck is sort of openly talking about his own private “secretive division” that is trying to invent person to person brain wave interaction.
Being able to glance over at your buddy and send a joke directly to his brain would be the coolest shit ever. And imagine how great this would be for cheating on tests in school, for talking shit about your coworkers, cracking jokes at funerals- you name it, this technology is perfect for it.
Self driving cars, blowjob robots, and telepathic thoughts. The future is scary but awesome, almost makes me want to live long enough to see it all happen. Almost.
