I love knowing we live in a world where these guys are betting $6,000 in 45 minutes on the practice green. That makes me happy. Brings me peace. Helps me sleep at night. We’ve always thought Phil was the massive degen from his Tuesday practice round stories, yet Ben fucking Crane of all people pops up losing $6K on the putting green.

Ben Crane’s made $20,383,025 in his career, so I don’t think this $6K is driving him into financial depression, but handing six thousand dollars to another guy is brutal. It’s embarrassing. Especially when it’s mano-a-mano in something you consider yourself very good at. It’s not the relative amount of money you’re losing; it’s the principle and stigma of actually handing it over. Even losing 5 bucks to your buddy makes you want to punch him in the face and challenge him to double or nothings until you recover or go broke.

Crane was 47th in strokes gained putting in 2016. He can roll the rock, so whoever laced him is no joke.
