Report: Rory McIlroy Set To Get Married In A Castle On Saturday

Golf Channel- It seems wedding bells will be ringing later this week for Rory McIlroy. According to a report from the Belfast Telegraph, McIlroy and fiancee Erica Stoll will be married Saturday, April 22. In what is reportedly being dubbed the “wedding of the decade,” One Direction star Niall Horan is expected to attend alongside many of golf’s biggest names. The nuptials are set to take place at Ashford Castle in Ireland, where the couple have twice celebrated New Year’s Eve together. McIlroy, 27, met Stoll during the 2012 Ryder Cup when she was working for the PGA of America and famously saved him from missing his tee time on the final day of competition. He was previously engaged to tennis player Caroline Wozniacki but abruptly ended the engagement in May 2014. McIlroy and Stoll began dating after his split from Wozniacki, and the pair were engaged in December 2015.

Decent spot to get married I guess. If you’re into that sort of thing. Just a massive, awesome fucking castle. Looks super sick. Rory finally typing the knot! How about that. Good for him. Unless he bails again which would be alright cause he had his best stretch of professional golf after breaking it off with Caroline Wozniacki. Just saying. I’m the biggest Rory supporter in the world so just looking out for him. Anyway. The story of Rory and Erica Stoll is pretty interesting actually. She’s the one who made sure he didn’t miss his tee time at the 2012 Ryder Cup. She was working for the PGA of America at the time. Sounds like the wedding is gonna be super lit though. It’s in a castle and is being billed the “wedding of the decade” Kind weird. Which decade? Seems vague. I’m expecting a who’s who of golfers to be at this wedding. I’m also expecting some awesome videos of drunken golfers coming outta this wedding. I would’ve liked an invite but whatever.
