LET'S GOOOOO

Here it is. The best time in sports. Hockey on every night from 7pm through as many OT’s as the west coast teams wanna play, kicked off by the New York Rangers vs Montreal Canadiens. I try to be a realistic fan. I love my Blueshirts, but I’m not heading into tonight with Cup aspirations. I am expecting to avoid another one-and-done though, and setting the tone with a Game 1 road victory in front of a playoff-starved fanbase will go a long way to doing exactly that. Yeah, Tanner Glass is in for Buch. I don’t like it, but so what? When he caves in Steve Ott’s ugly mug we’ll all jump through the ceiling.

It’s cliche, but there really is a clean slate. New season with everyone coming in 0-0. There’s always drama. Always surprises. Always upsets. This is the most hopeful a lot of the 16 teams remaining are gonna be – so enjoy it. Be loud, go nuts & if it doesn’t go our way it’s still better to die with your team than not even make the dance. Just remember, this Rangers core came back from 3-1 deficits twice in consecutive playoffs. Being a slight underdog to start a series is a piece of cake.

Besides, do these look like the skates of a first-round loser? Zucc is fucking ready. You better be too.
