Congrats To My Girl Hilary Knight And Team USA For Winning Gold At The World Championships

Hilary and I have had a torrid love affair for a few years now and she still surprises me every single day. That’s the real definition of love, right? Something new and exciting every single time I look her in the eyes. This time, it was a casual OT snipe to beat Canada in the World Championships and bring gold home.

For those who haven’t been paying attention, it’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks for the Team USA ladies. They went nose-to-nose with USA Hockey, threatening to skip Worlds if the women didn’t receive fair wages and treatment like the men do. They were supported by pretty much every person who’s put on skates, from NHL athletes on down, and eventually USA Hockey blinked, the girls got what they were asking for, laced ‘em up for the Worlds, and brought home gold. That’s talking the talk then walking the fuck out of it.
