Uber Banned That Girl For Life After She Threatened Her Driver With Rape Allegations And He Caught It On Video
PREVIOUSLY: An Uber Passenger Had Beef With The Driver So Naturally She Threatened Him With Sexual Assault Allegations
NY Post – The young Bronx woman who threatened to call police and falsely accuse an Uber driver of rape has been banned from the app for life, a spokesperson says.
Dash-cam footage, which was posted online this week, showed the female passenger furiously accosting the male driver for nearly 9 minutes — even going so far as to say “Donald Trump going to send you and your family back [to your country].”
“The behavior in this video is abusive and completely unacceptable,” an Uber spokesperson said in a statement.
“As our Community Guidelines make clear, this will not be tolerated by anyone who uses Uber,” they added. “The rider’s account has been banned and Uber is looking into this incident.”
This may actually be a first in the history of their company but…Uber won a public relations situation! That puts them at about 1-89 lifetime, give or take Tex’s record in competition after the tase-off last week, but a win is a win. And honestly seeing quick action like that makes me happy. It’s so easy to make up a story these days and have the whole world run with it and for a dude like this Uber driver, his life could have been over 1000 times if she somehow went through with her borderline evil threats. When someone steps that far outside of humanity, quick and decisive action to make others not try the same thing has to happen. Ban her from Uber, ban her from Lyft, ban her from every social setting, it’d be a net win for everyone and also lessen the chance of her trying to get you imprisoned for life because you didn’t hold a door open long enough for her or offer her a bite of your food. The less of this lady in society, the better.
And also honestly this really is one more reminder that we probably just need cameras following us around at all times. It’s so easy for someone to do something like this and while you’d hope the legal process shakes out in your favor based on evidence, who fucking knows how bad you could get railroaded? It’s getting to the point where everyone’s going to need to be camera’d and mic’d at all times and whenever something goes down in life, you’ll have someone go to the tape like a referee under the hood for a challenge. Rape accusations? Throw the flag. Someone blaming you for a fuckup at work? Take a timeout so the referees review. Caught something from a chick and she’s blaming you? Gotta send that one back to the league office but we’re getting there. Somewhere between that Black Mirror episode with the memories saved to a hard drive and a crucial 4th down play, that’s what life has to be now I guess.
