What I knew 4 games in has come true: this Bruins team is good. Sure, I supposed there have been some changes here and there since I sent that tweet in October, a few important ones, but the point I was making then is the same one I’m making now. The 2017 Boston Bruins are a fun team that you don’t necessarily want to see next week. They’re a team that’s gonna ride their hot goalie/the Boston media and some young stars and it’s going to be FANTASTIC to watch.
We’ve got warm weather, playoff hockey, playoff basketball, and Red Sox baseball on deck which is to say we’ve got the best fucking season to be from Boston coming up. So much DARTYing, so much sports. It’s good to be us.
Get your tshirts now, don’t be left out in the cold when this playoff run starts. Yeah, I said playoff run. Buy a shitload of them because this is gonna last a little while and doing laundry sucks.
PS – Elephant in the room: garbage, stupid play by Marchand. I hope he doesn’t catch a suspension, lord knows Sidney Crosby has done the same thing a handful of times in the last few weeks and has remained on the ice, but I wouldn’t be shocked to seem him get a game or two on reputation. Anything more than that is bullshit. Can’t be suspending superstars for the playoffs because of a regular season dick slash.
