Stars Played April Fools Jokes And It Was Hysterical LOL Just Kidding They Were Painfully Unfunny

I used to be a big April Fools girl. I may or not have been dubbed (by myself) the April Fools Queen. Jokes like, “I’m dumping you! Haha April Fools” and “Your boyfriend knows you’re cheating on him! Haha April Fools.” Real knee slappers. One day, I realized I was an adult. April Fools no longer applies to me and now it’s meant only for punking your parents in your family group text and celebrities trying to stay relevant.

Example #1: Gigi Hadid

Yes, Gigi is smoking hot. We all know that. So what does she do to prank us all? Fake chops off her hair! Everyone knows the funniest thing a model can do is make herself look a little less hot than usual! RIP Gigi’s career – LOL!

Example #2: Michael Phelps

Oh WOW Michael, you got us good. Saying you’re going to compete in the 2020 Olympics, a completely plausible announcement, getting all of your fans’ hopes up, and then dropping an “April Fools.” Im howling! I’m sure the people who quite literally only watch the Olympics to watch you compete weren’t crushed at all!

Example #3: Shawn Johnson

I am in STITCHES. Shawn Johnson throwing on a fake baby bump from a movie set. Another completely ridiculous (but actually not) thing to happen – getting pregnant! I’m sure all of the people in the world who are actually trying to get pregnant but can’t took this well.

Huh, it seems like Shawn forgot that people get really mad online and might have a few things to say about fake pregnancies. EVERYONE knows that people are so good at taking a joke and would totally never overreact.

What jokesters!!! The only people funnier than these celebs are the people who pretended to be engaged on April Fool’s Day. I’m sure all of those Instagrams resulted in lots of laughs, and none of them turned into enormous arguments about “all of my friends who are already engaged” or “you don’t think its funny because you’re afraid of commitment” conversations. Incredibly silly!

Can’t wait to see what these people come up with next year. Only 363 more days!
