With all the emotion of the Undertaker hanging up his trench coat for the last time last night, it went a little under the radar how Good Ol’ JR, Jim Ross, the voice of WWE we all grew up with, returned to the broadcast table to do the play-by-play of the Undertaker’s last match.

It was an emotional moment for JR, who lost his wife, Jan, on March 22nd after she was hit by a car while riding her Vepsa. JR hadn’t broadcasted a match for WWE since Wrestlemania 28 after being pushed out of the company. But he has a long standing history with Undertaker, and his calls in the biggest matches in WWE history are why they needed to bring him back for this moment.

It was wonderful to hear JR behind the mic again, and hopefully this isn’t just a one and done deal, as he hasn’t missed a beat.
