Former NHLer Andrew Peters In A Little Bit Of Trouble After Hitting A Kid During A Brawl While Coaching

Under no circumstances would I condone a grown man hitting a child. Under no circumstances whatsoever is that okay. But… well… I mean… with that being said… these kids were pretty much asking for it.

Buddy 1 tries hopping into the bench to take on the whole team. Buddy 2 joins in on the melee. Andrew Peters sees that shit is starting to get out of hand. He realizes the refs are way out of their league and won’t be able to take control of the situation. So he takes matters into his own hands and puts Buddy 2 on his ass. It’s not like Andrew Peters walked into a locker room full of little kids and just randomly decided to clock one of them with a left. These kids were being psychopaths. And when you act like a psychopath, you get treated like a psychopath. The only way Andrew Peters knows how to treat other psychopaths is by punching them in the face. Here’s contextual evidence.

229 career NHL games. 4 goals. 3 assists. 650 penalty minutes. A true Goon through and through. Guy had 388 penalty minutes in just one year alone playing for Rochester in the AHL.

So yeah. Should he have hit the kid? Obviously not. Andrew Peters is a grown ass man who fought for a living in the NHL. This kid is just some 15-year-old snot nosed brat who decided to try to be a Big Dick Rick for a moment out there. So do I get why he hit him? Absolutely. It ended the fight right then and there, the kid is wearing a helmet with a cage so it couldn’t have done any damage. No harm, no foul. Well… maybe a little bit of a foul and maybe Andrew Peters just isn’t fit to coach minor hockey. Neither was Gordon Bombay to start, though, and look at how well that turned out.
