Does This Look Like The Face Of A Guy Who Tried To Run A Woman Off The Road And Even Threw His Dog At Her So He Could Talk To Her?

LAKELAND — A Frostproof man is facing charges after trying to run a woman off the road to “talk with her at any cost,” according to the Lakeland Police Department. Howard Van Sweringen, 41, is accused of pursuing 35-year-old Kristina Fuller, apparently ramming her vehicle several times and, at one point, throwing his dog at her. He was arrested Thursday at Lakeland High. “This is something you see in the movies or on TV,” Fuller said. “Now, it has happened to me.”  The incident began about 7 a.m. Thursday after she dropped her daughter off at school and noticed Sweringen in a white Ford F150 pickup following her on Bartow Road. He rammed his vehicle into hers, almost causing Fuller to lose control of her car, an arrest report says. 

Oh well I guess women aren’t accepting compliments anymore. A couple days after Valentines Day no less. This nice guy tries to court a woman and all she does is call the police and have him arrested. They say chivalry is dead? Well so is whatever the female version of chivalry is. He even went as far as to throw his best friend (the dog duh) at her to get her attention. If that’s not love then I don’t know what is. Did he maybe cross the line when he tried to run her car off the road simply so he could talk to her and hopefully eventually ask her out? I’m actually gonna say no there. That shows commitment. Women are always going on and on and on and on about how guys aren’t willing to commit. not a problem for this guy. He committed to, “Looks like I’m either going to jail for this woman or we’re gonna get married some day.” That’s another thing women want. They want men to do something special for them. To make a big deal over them. I’d say a high speed chase and literally throwing a dog at someone falls into the special/big deal category. And what does he get in return? He gets a night in jail. Shake my damn head.
