Dickie V Went IN On Kansas Fans Leaving Early Last Night Before Their Huge Comeback Win Against West Virginia
Dickie V holding NOTHING back. And you know what, he’s actually kind of right on this one. Maybe a little overblown as the majority of fans stayed, but he’s right in the fact that Kansas basketball has given those fans so many good memories for so many years. They’re a blue chip program, they pride themselves on an unreal home court atmosphere, you can’t have that and have fans streaming out with 4 minutes left in the game, those two things don’t align. Heat fans can leave early because they’re Heat fans, Kansas Jayhawk fans need to stay, because rooting for Kansas basketball means something.
As for the comeback itself, it was unbelievable. Kansas was down 14 points with 2:43 left in the game. They had 50 points with under 5 to play and were able to climb all the way back to tie it at 71 to end regulation and win in Overtime. The only people feeling worse than the fans that left early are the guys on Bob Huggin’s team. A mad Huggy Bear is not a Huggy Bear anyone wants a part of.
