Honestly, I was hoping for a little more disbelief and agony from the Atlanta broadcast, because drinking tears gives me life, but Zolak going nuts in the booth after the Pats tied it and won it more than made up for it. That’s why I love broadcasters like Zo. Give me a guy who actually loves the team and cares about wins and losses over the robot broadcast journalism major ten times out of ten. I want to listen to a broadcaster who’s feeling what I’m feeling throughout the course of the game, not some generic, Ned Flanders-sounding motherfucker who gets just as excited for the road team scoring as he does for the home team. That’s why Pats fans are lucky to have a broadcast team of Bob Socci and an electric factory like Zo, who both know how to fire up a fan base through the radio.
