The Boston Globe Sent Out Newspapers Early This Morning With A Defeated Tom Brady On The Cover
First of all, how about a round of applause for newspapers for still being a thing in 2017! Give it up for ‘em. That’s impressive. I’m not even gonna shit on the Boston Globe for putting out a front page that had the Patriots losing, because what else were they going to run when they were on deadline, and New England was losing 28-3 halfway through the third quarter? Game was pretty much over. No team had ever overcome more than a 10-point deficit in a Super Bowl, never mind a 25-point deficit, especially that late in the game.
But the fact that we still live in a world where there are human beings who use newspapers as their primary source for information is just bananaland. Really, who the fuck buys newspapers anymore? I can understand the argument of a hard copy book versus an ebook or something like that, but there’s nobody on earth who could intelligently make the argument for a newspaper versus an online news source. The only thing they’d be able to say is the old, “I like to feel the newspaper in my hands” line, which is just flat out ridiculous. Feel your fucking phone in your hand, dude. At least when you do that, you’ll actually be reading accurate information that isn’t already outdated or just flat out incorrect.
