This Heroin-Addicted Chick's Before And After Sobriety Pics Will Make You Reconsider Chasing The Dragon
DM – Dejah Hall, from Arizona, shared the eye-opening images of herself online to celebrate four years of being clean from heroin and meth.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Ms Hall said her addiction started with pain medication when she was just 17 years old.
‘I was partying with a friend and I took a pill for the first time and due to stress and issues at home it just went downhill from there,’ she said.
‘I was taking up to six prescription pills at a time every single day before I reached a point at 20 years old where I wanted to get off them.’
From April to December, 2012, Ms Hall was injecting both meth and heroin.
‘I was killing myself. I was very skinny at around 95 pounds (43 kilograms) but I still felt like I looked beautiful. That is the deception of the drug… you are not beautiful on that stuff,’ Ms Hall said.
Here’s before when she was all h’d out of her mind:
And now that she’s clean and sobered up:
Heroin is one of those drugs where there’s quietly an epidemic going on that doesn’t get a lot of coverage. What crack was to black communities in the 80s, heroin is to a lot of suburban white areas around the country today. So to see a chick rebound from the dark, most chola eyebrow’d pits of addiction to get back on track and be happy with herself again…it’s a feel good holiday story to see her fully on the mend. Heroin and meth do not make you sexier, now we can conclusively know that. Her whole story is worth a read and is an interesting (and maybe helpful?) look at what really makes someone take the jump from addiction to a normal life.
