I Feel As Stupid As This Dog After Spending A Weekend On The Natty Bus
I feel just like this pup coming out of the weekend. A little slow. A little off the mark. But just like this little pooch, I am completely ok with it. I very honestly don’t know how Caleb could spend a month plus on that bus because it is an exhausting experience. I feel like I have a layer of grime lingering on me that I can’t wash off, like I gained 10 pounds over the course of two days. Stepping on that bus after two days feels like stumbling out of Bonaroo after a weekend, like the juice has been wrung from the fruit (not to call myself a fruit, but that’s a good way to tease the Bro Sweet episode we filmed at a gas station in Mechanicsburg, PA).
Hanging with the PMT fellas was a treat as well. We joked that they were getting as big as the Beatles, but it hit a little too close to home when I stepped off the bus and someone threw me out of the way to get to Big Cat and PFT like I was a 9th grader trying out for the offensive line. People go nuts for them. It was like a Zombie apocalypse when that bus pulled up. If those people had gotten their hands on PFT and Big Cat when we first arrived, they might have torn them from limb to limb out of sheer confusion about what to do.
Also, keep an eye out for Philly beat reporter Angelo Palantonio on this week’s PMT, as the guys were gracious enough to have another Philly guy on the show to make me feel more comfortable. The bus was gross but the trip was great. Especially considering that a month and a half ago I didn’t even actually work here. Imagine from going to being one of those people on the outside of the bus to getting to be on the inside. It was crazy.
