The Latest Example Of Disrespecting Isaiah Thomas Is In
People wonder why I am so passionate about standing up for Isaiah Thomas. Why I continue to fight the good fight. Some might think it’s for show, or for the blog, but it’s not. Some might think I’m just making this narrative up, but I’m not. I truly believe everything I say about Isaiah because it is based on fact and not opinion.
Well let me talk about the facts for a second. You and I may disagree on some of my Isaiah stances, but I want to seriously ask you to explain to me how he was not one of the best 10 players in the East this past month? Look at how he compares to the other nominees. ESPN’s Chris Forsberg broke it down.
You want to tell me that record has something to do with it? Well then explain Melo/Porzingis/Whiteside. Explain to me what the hell Kemba Walker did better to deserve to be nominated that Isaiah didn’t? Perhaps things have gotten too comfortable when it comes to Isaiah, ESPN ran a puff piece on him before the Warriors game, maybe people were starting to come around and he was starting to get the respect he deserves.
Do. Not. Be. Fooled.
Shit like this continues to make my blood boil, because there is no logical reason for the snub. Now understand me, I am not saying Isaiah should have won the award, but for him to not even be a nominee based on what he is doing on the basketball court is the very definition of bullshit.
So I continue to ask, what more does he have to do?
In the meantime, it’s time for those of us who have pledged our lives to fight this fight, to suit up and man our battle stations. Things haven’t changed one bit, and they probably won’t for a while.
