There's No Chance In Hell This Soccer Miss Wasn't On Purpose
If this were to happen in America then I’d say we have a classic case of some asshole trying to go viral on our hands here. You know the cameras are rolling, you’re playing in some shitty fourth tier league, now is your perfect opportunity to get a little action in the spotlight. “No press is bad press” – Jeffrey Dahmer. This is where BuzzFeed and HuffPo and every other site would come along and say “Zomg! This soccer player is so totally my spirit animal”. The only problem is this didn’t happen in America. It happened in Serbia where I’m almost certain it’s illegal to have any sort of fun.
Which leads me to believe that this player’s wife and parents and children were tied up in a basement somewhere as this game was being played yesterday. Somebody in Serbia laid a frig ton of money on the under and his family dies if it doesn’t hit. Even if it’s a fourth tier league in Serbia, I refuse to believe anybody can miss that shot. Unless he’s a distant relative of Patrik Stefan.
