The First Trailer For Nintendo's Next Console (Nintendo Switch) Was Just Released And I Am All-In On It

I admit I’m not a diehard video game guy like I used to be. But I want to at least be relatively plugged into the scene. I bought a PS4 last year knowing full well that as washed up dad like myself would probably have no time to play it. And sure enough I’ve played about 20 total games of Madden and The Show over the last 2 years. Great investment.

I also admittedly had no clue Nintendo was working on a new system until seeing this trailer this morning. Everyone clowned them for the Wii and all that did was change the fucking world. Everyone loved the Wii. I don’t think you can find a person on the planet that didn’t bowl at least once in Wii Sports. Shit was the best! Then they came out with the Wii U and it took every fiber of my being (that’s a lot of fibers, FYI) not to buy it simply for Mario Kart. I mean I bought a Gamecube as a poor ass college student just so my roommates and I could play the newest Kart until our eyes bled. But I avoided the Wii U and I don’t think I missed all that much.

But this Switch looks like it could be another game changer. Especially for people that are on the move a lot or I don’t know, have soul-crushing commutes. Being able to play your games or continue your seasons away from home is fantastic for people in 2016. I was intrigued when I saw the portability of the system while also looking good enough to be a home system. Like if the Wii and the Gameboy had a beautiful baby. But Nintendo had me hook, line, and sinker once I saw a working, playable version of Mario Kart. Best game pound for pound ever and it’s not even close. The Babe Ruth of its time.

Plus based on this clip from the trailer, the Switch can apparently get you laid in the airport bathroom. Eyes don’t lie.
