If The NHL Doesn't Force Refs To Wear Cameras During The Regular Season, We Riot

I think we can all agree that Ref Cam has been the best thing to happen to hockey since they took away the two line pass rule. I know refs in the AHL have been testing them out for about a year now but that doesn’t really count. For all intents and purposes, we’ll say that Ref Cam has been around for about 6 days and already, they have been some of the best 6 days of my life. I feel horrible for everybody who is no longer with us and never got a chance to enjoy the sexual experiences like this

and this

and this

But apparently, the refs are even worse than we originally thought they were and their quest to ruin everything that is awesome about hockey continues.

Fucking pricks. And here’s the thing. I don’t buy this one bit. How uncomfortable could strapping a Go-Pro to your helmet possibly be? No. What I think this is, is the same reason why cops wouldn’t want to wear body cameras. Because they know they’re going to fuck up but they don’t want their fuck up to be so readily available for everybody to see. Before, refs could miss a blatantly obvious high stick or tripping call. Then they could just blame it on the fact that they didn’t see it. But now if they’re forced to wear cameras on their heads, that’s not the case anymore. It’s downright selfish. They’d rather take away joy and pleasure from the rest of the world just to save their own asses. I’m sorry but that just doesn’t sit well with me. You deserve to get steamrolled by Dennis Wideman if you’re that selfish.

So now I guess we just wait and see. I know that everybody has their own opinions on Gary Bettman. Personally, I love the guy. But everybody seems to love hating him more. The perfect way to get on everybody’s good side here would be to force refs to wear the cameras regardless of what they say. Be a man of the people, Gary. Do it. Flex your balls on those zebras or else you’ll have a full blown riot on your hands*.

*like 5 or 6 people will be mad on the internet for a few days.
