Well color me not surprised at all by this tidbit. It’s simple math. There are two (2) super teams in the NBA. One (1) resides in the East while the other one (1) is in the West. The West has more good teams than the East, making the super team in the East the more likely NBA champion. Especially if said East team goes 82-0 during the regular season.
And in case you don’t subscribe to the theory that numbers never lie, lets do a little exercise.
1. Close your eyes
2. NO PEAKING!!! How are you supposed to read this? I don’t know. But no peaking
3. Imagine the 2010-11 NBA MVP, the greatest Olympics basketball player of all-time, a 7’3″ freak that can shoot and play defense, and one of the best glue guys in the league that has been on three All-Defensive teams all relatively healthy for the entire season
Now open your eyes. What do you see? That’s right.
But seriously, I love every single Knicks fan that made this bet. I feel honored to be a part of a group that rides this emotional roller coaster every year, knowing full well it will likely crash into a brick wall come February.
