Throwback Thursday On A Monday: This Finnish Ice Hockey Song From 1991 Is A Boner Jam And A Half
I get that it’s a bit agressive to jump the gun so early for a throwback Thursday but some things are just so magical that they can’t wait. Plus, the main reason I’m blogging this song right now is because I want this to be on the record–when I die, I NEED this song to be played on repeat at my funeral.
Now as plenty of you are well aware already, the Finnish team got worked by Team North America in their World Cup of Hockey opener last night. As much as I hate to give free advice to my enemy, I think I have a pretty quick fix for those Finnish bastards. All you have to do is make “Ice Hockey” by Selanne & The Gang as your goal song. Just think about how much harder the boys will work out there if they know they’ll be rewarded with this masterpiece every time they throw the puck in the back of the net. 1 goal ain’t gonna cut it anymore after you get a listen to this sweet sweet goodness.

Flawless. I can’t remember the last time I actually purchased a song on iTunes but I would spend $1.29 on this song. Then I would delete it from My Music only so I could then spend another $1.29 to purchase it again. That’s how much I love it. It’s the #PleaseLikeMySport anthem.
It me for the rest of the day
Why this song is just hitting the internet now and why it was ever even made in the first place, we’ll never know. But I feel like we’re all better off because of it now.
