Su'a Cravens Has Fully Embraced Dallas Week By Not Talking To His Mom
Washington - “I’m familiar with [the rivalry],” Cravens, who grew up in Temecula, Calif., said Wednesday. “My mom is actually a Cowboys fan, so I won’t be talking to her this week.”
Reporters laughed, and one followed up by asking whether Cravens had heard any trash-talk from his mom, Yolanda, this week. “I haven’t spoken to her,” Cravens said. “I’m serious, I’m honest. She called me this morning. I haven’t spoken to her. I don’t talk to Cowboys fans. She called me and I hit silent. My dad called me and I was like, ‘Hey, what’s up, Pops?’ She was kind of jealous.”
This had been the most quiet Dallas week that I can remember. I hate playing Dallas week 2. We aren’t into the thick of the season quite yet, there hasn’t been enough time for trash talk to transpire, for story lines to develop, for the hate to really fully flow. Just two 0-1 teams trying not to drop to 0-2. But I’m glad the rookie Su’a Cravens is stepping up and hating Dallas as he should. Straight up pulling a Mason Foster from last season
and cutting out his mom, that’s what it’s all about. There’s no time for Cowboys fans this week, doesn’t matter if they are dying, dead, or your blood relatives, this week they are garbage. Props to Su’a, carrying the load for the squad, which is also what Mia Khalifa does, heyoooooooooo.
Though it’s been quiet, the biggest story of course is Alfred Morris, the Redskins spy in the Cowboys locker room, returning to DC. Probably the most likable guy to walk through Redskins Park in the last 10 years, Alf is sure to get a great ovation when he steps on the field at Fed Ex on Sunday.
Otherwise, we have Dak making his debut in DC. I’m interested in seeing how high my hate level for him rises. Will it be a Romo deal where I hate him immediately? Or will the hate have to fester over the course of the season, we’ll have to see.
Looking forward to the Skins moving to 1-1, Su’a talking to his mom again, and being on to the Giants.
