Texas High School Senior Has To Apologize For Bringing A Trump Wall To Pep Rally
NY Post — A senior at a high school in Texas where students appeared with a border wall sign during a Donald Trump-themed pep rally has apologized for her part in the school’s snafu.
Audrey Warner, a 17-year-old senior at Colleyville Heritage High School, was one of several students who appeared in photos on social media following Friday’s pep rally before a football game between Colleyville Heritage High School and Trinity High School.
One photo showed Warner and five other students smiling in front of a sign made to look like a border wall that read: “Paid for, by Trinity,” an apparent reference to Trump’s insistence that Mexico will pay to build a wall along its border with the United States.
“I am sorry, it wasn’t meant to be offensive,” Warner wrote The Post on Twitter. “The theme was based off of using ‘trump’ as a play on words to mean beat. However, during this time of elections, Trump is a conversional [controversial] candidate. My tweet and the signs made were not meant to hurt Trinity students in any way and I am sorry if it came across as anything more serious than intended.”
Warner said she’s unsure exactly who made the sign. She said it was made by someone to fit the pep rally’s official theme: “Make Colleyville Heritage Great Again.”
Ohhh paid for by Trinity! Boom roasted! Fuck you Trinity you’re basically Mexico. Sucks to suck. That insult is no joke in Texas either. They fucking HATE Mexico down there.
Most confusing part about this story for me is that it was a Trump-themed rally? How the hell do you get in trouble for rocking a Trump Wall at a Trump rally? That’s like his entire platform. His stump. His central issue — the fucking wall. Loves that thing. Talks nonstop about the “big, beautiful, amazing” wall. That’s like getting in trouble for dressing like a 5-foot-1 turd at a Bieber concert. Makes no sense.
Also, not uncommon for people to straight up dress up as the Trump Wall.
It’s a bold, bold move to attend an event as a proposed wall.
