2016 New York Jets: 10 Predictions

It is about that time. Here is ten totally subjective, random predictions for the 2016 New York Jets season. Check out our season preview podcast at the bottom of the article and if you are looking to dive deeper than these 10 predictions, here is a link to 26 more

1. Brandon Marshall will have less yards, touchdowns and receptions than he did in 2015. Overall, the Jets passing game will be more spread out than it was last year, with Quincy Enunwa being more involved, Bilal Powell playing 16 games and Matt Forte getting more targets than Chris Ivory did.

2. Ryan Fitzpatrick will have about the same amount of touchdowns and yards as he did in 2015 but have 5-7 more turnovers.

3. The Jets will have a top five defense in the NFL and their special teams will be substantially improved from last season.

4. The Jets will go 4-2 in the AFC East. They will go into their week 11 bye week at 6-4.

5. New England will win the AFC East. Buffalo will go 6-10 and fire Rex Ryan at the end of the season. Miami will be somewhere around 8-8 and out of the playoffs again.

6. Muhammad Wilkerson will lead the Jets with 13 sacks and be first team All-Pro. Calvin Pryor will be second team All-Pro.

7. The Jets will use substantially more four man fronts on defense than they did in 2015 to get Leonard Williams, Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson on the field at the same time.

8. Leonard Williams will be their most improved player on defense. Enunwa will be their most improved player on offense.

9. Marcus Gilchrist, Marcus Williams and Nick Mangold will see a decline in their performance from last season.
