D-Rose Says He Is Back To Kill Mode On The Court, Even If He Was Playing His Mom 1 On 1
(Source) A rested and rehabilitated Rose has spent this week hammering a pair of themes following his lost 2012-13 season: he loves his hometown of Chicago and he loves the game of basketball. To that list, add the following: The Chicago Tribune reports Wednesday that Rose is ready to get back to his “no holds barred” approach on the court.
“I’m a guy where whoever is on the court, I’m going to go at them,” Rose said. “If it’s my teammates — it could be my mom on the court, she’s going to get killed. I could care less. For me, I’m just trying to build that mentality where I don’t care who’s out there, I’m trying to play the same way.”
I’ve been the biggest D-Rose supporter in the world this past year plus and taken a good amount of shit for it from people outside of Chicago but even I think this is taking it a little too far. Not the actual statement, the statement I’m cool with. I hope to god Derrick is back to that mentality. Where he demolishes people coast to coast and has that extra gear that no one in the league can stop. No, this is too far for me because it’s just a talk is cheap kind of thing. All I care about at this point is on the court. I’m done with all the hype. I just want to see it. I want to see D-Rose dominate people in basketball. I want to watch too big, too strong, too fast, too good Derrick because that is my favorite player in the NBA and it’s not even close. So yeah, I appreciate the fact that you’d kill your own mother but I’m just ready to get the season started and I think everyone else would agree.
Also, your baby is swagged out and dresses nicer than I ever will. Boom Roasted, my face.
