PFT - Some players are afflicted by the Madden curse. Other players simply curse Madden. The 2017 version of the game has been released, and Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant isn’t happy with his overall rating.

“Like I told Madden, they put me at 90, I’m not worried about that,” Bryant recently said, via the Dallas Morning News. “I play Madden, I [expletive] love Madden,” Bryant said. “They would do me like that? Oh my God. That is an insult, like why would you do that to me? How much I love y’all. Like what? Not John Madden, because I love him. It’s the developers.”

“That rating going to shoot up real quick, you best believe that,” Bryant said.

Dez Bryant, who can’t catch a football, is whining about his Madden rating again. Sad!

Today is Madden day, when gamers buy the same game for the 15th straight year and bitch about it, and when players see their ratings and bitch about it. Dez got off to a hot start, throwing a pity party for his 90 rating. I think 90 is pretty fair for him, possibly even a bit high. Decent route runner, average hands, injury prone, good speed, no awareness of the NFL rulebook. Maybe if he wanted a better rating he wouldn’t get injured so much, just a thought. Or maybe he’d hold onto the ball in the end zone, just a thought. Or maybe he’d stop missing games with concussions. I mean think about it- Dez Bryant gets a concussion and misses a football game, I get a concussion and still go to SummerSlam. In retrospect, my Madden rating should be higher than his.  So Dez should stop whining about being a 90 in Madden, stop whining about having a little headache, and learn to actually reel in a catch.

Sad!
