Ji-Man Choi Had A Three Home Run Game Until Coco Crisp Happened

When it’s all said and done, I think that Coco Crisp will go down as one of the most underappreciated players of this era. It makes me feel old as fuck to realize that Crisp made his major league debut in 2002, and he’s already had a 15-year career. But let’s get one thing straight — he’s never been an All Star, he’s never been an MVP candidate, he’s never been the best player on his team, he’s never led the league in any major statistical category, except for stolen bases once in 2011, and he’s never won a Gold Glove award, which is honestly baffling to me.

To be an everyday player over a 15-year career, you have to be a pretty good player, and Coco has been a guy who, over the years, has always hustled his ass off, put his body on the line, and, whether he made the play or not, he always gave it 110%. Baseball fans appreciate shit like that.
