Wake Up With Carlos Correa Walking Off Against The Blue Jays In 14 Innings

Toronto Blue Jays v Houston Astros

If you missed this one, you missed the game of the night. You got two awesome starts from Marcus Stroman, who struck out a career high 13 batters over seven innings, and Doug Fister, who struck out eight batters his own. Stroman allowed just one earned run, a solo home run off the bat of MVP candidate Jose Altuve, while Fister blanked the Astros through six frames. This one would’ve been over in 9 innings, a 1-0 ballgame in favor of the Stros, but Will Harris gave up a bomb to Russell Martin in the ninth, his third blown save of the year. The two teams battled into the 14th, until Carlos Correa walked it off for Houston, his fourth walk-off hit of the year. There are 11 major league teams that don’t even have four walk-off victories this season.
