The NFL Has Concluded Its Peyton Manning Investigation And Discovered That There Is No Credible Evidence To Suggest He Used Steroids
First of all shoutout to the NFL for completing the quietest investigation of all time. It’s important not to let these kinds of things run wild in the media so the court of public opinion has already reached a decision before all the facts play out the and league did an excellent job with that. No leaks, no false reports, no wall-to-wall coverage on everything from The Today Show to PTI. Just good, old fashioned justice for The Sheriff.
And we’re lucky it played out that way, because no credible evidence was discovered. None whatsoever. That shipment of HGH that went to his house? That could have looked bad if news sources were reckless and discussed that non-stop, but they were relatively hush about it the entire time. Thankfully, that was nothing. It was for his wife, obviously. What, you think it makes more sense for a pro athlete trying to return from neck surgery to take HGH rather than a stay-at-home mom? HA! Don’t be a fucking moron. You think that perhaps some human growth hormone could have been helpful in a man with Lego blocks for a spinal cord breaking the single season touchdown record? Doesn’t add up, if you ask me.
Some people may not have total faith in this investigation, but not me. I am completely onboard with whatever the NFL says happened. At times like this, credibility is extremely important. Fortunately Roger Goodell has not spent the last decade destroying the NFL’s credibility with a sledgehammer so I’ve not no problem whatsoever taking the league at their word on this one. I’m supremely confident this investigation was absolutely not a bunch of guys, sitting in a room, and watching Peyton firmly deny using HGH on NFL Countdown on a loop for seven months straight.
PS – I like the dig at Brady. NFL wants to make it very clear to all players that if you just cooperate and give them access to everything they have no right to ask for then they will let you skate.
