Johnny Manziel Got In An Alleged Fight At His Friend's Wedding
(Source) So much for the new Johnny Manziel.
The troubled quarterback got into a fistfight during a friend’s wedding this weekend in Hawaii, TMZ reports. The Browns flameout did not initiate the rumble, but things began to turn sour between Manziel and another guest after Friday night’s rehearsal dinner at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort.
As sources told the website, Manziel and the other guest had been adversaries for a while, and the ex-NFLer took matters into his own hands — literally — by hitting the man in the face.
The scene reportedly blew over before a bigger brawl could erupt. Law enforcement was not called to the scene. It appears Manziel didn’t suffer any major injuries, though his index finger did need a bandage or two.
But before his pal could say “I do,” Manziel made an attempt to smooth things over the next day by sending his adversary a bottle of bubbly and a note that read, “Truly apologize. Should have never done that. Know this won’t make it better, but hope it starts the day off alright.”
Manziel has been doing plenty of apologizing in recent days. After vowing to get his life back on track, Manziel posted a bizarre video on Instagram, promising fans he hopes to revive his lackluster, two-year NFL career.
Ok so now that Johnny Manziel might come on Pardon My Take because he once said he would in one single tweet (only thing better is if he said it in a 3 am facetime) I have to play this differently right? Here it goes.
Classic media, making something out of nothing. This was a wedding right? Who hasn’t been to a wedding where a little shit talking takes place? Everyone wants a piece of Johnny Football, everyone wants to be his best friend or be around him, then this punk comes along talking a little shit and Johnny tells him to screw. Did any cops get called? Did anyone get hurt? Did the bride still have a nice time? Exactly. Just another witch hunt for Johnny’s head. Let Johnny be Johnny. Someday me, Johnny, and Drake will be laughing about this whole thing while we spray champagne at the club. Minor setback for a major comeback. All he needs are friends like me and we’ll be back in the NFL in no time. Woof Woof.
In all seriousness though this probably is nothing but it’s also been clear for a while now that Johnny should probably get some help, something I think most of us realize.
