(Source) Long time WWE ring side announcer Jim Ross has retired from the WWE. After an illustrious career, Ross was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his friend Stone Cold Steve Austin in the 2007 ceremony. Ross made his debut in 1993 at Wrestlemania IX and his career spanned 20 years.

According to WWE.com, Ross is retiring “to focus on his personal business endeavors.” Ross has started his own company selling barbecue sauce.

Well this sucks. Absolute legend. The attitude era of wrestling just wouldn’t have been the same without good old JR. And as shitty as this may be, at least his barbeque sauce is getting 100% of his time now, so that’s kind of a win right?

The excitement I used to get whenever OH MY GOD! was said can’t fully be described in words. If that makes me a loser then fine by me. Do what you love, and I used to love watching JR call wrestling matches.
