Apparently Now It's "Child Abuse" To Drop Your Children Off In The Middle Of The Desert Without Shoes On
B911 - The 7-year-old girl, 6-year-old boy and 5-year-old boy had been left by themselves in the Mojave Desert “for disciplinary purposes,” the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department said. Deputies found the children at 11:22 a.m. By 11:56 a.m., the temperature had reached 95 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. (It got as high as 103 degrees that day.)
“The temperature was going up over the course of that hour,” Todd Lericos, a National Weather Service meteorologist, told the Desert Sun. It’s unclear why the three children were being punished, but authorities allege that the children’s mother and her boyfriend left them outside in Twentynine Palms, Calif. Mary Bell, 34, and her boyfriend, Gary Cassle, 29, have been arrested for felony child abuse, the sheriff’s department said. The two are being held at the Morongo Basin Jail on $100,000 bail.

Oh boo hoo. All of a sudden you can’t discipline your children by making them walk barefoot in the desert? Back in my day we had to walk barefoot through the desert, uphill both ways just to get to school, and we did that with a smile on our faces. But now all of a sudden that’s too harsh? Shakin my damn head. There’s only one word to describe that, and I’m gonna spell it out for you
And besides, it was only walking. Back in my day when we got dropped off in the desert we had to dig holes. All day every day, just digging holes. And when we were done digging holes, what did we do? We dug more holes. No police. No handcuffs. No bail set at $100,000. Just holes.
