Is El Pres Good Enough To Fold Quad 7's In The WSOP Main Event?

This hand happened in the 10k main event yesterday. Bracelet winner Kyle Bowker folded quad 7s face up. Was he right? Was he wrong? The world may never know. It’s causing quite a stirring in the poker world, as everyone wants to know if his opponent, who did not show, had the QT of spades for the straight flush.

Which leads us to the question- is Portnoy good enough to fold quads to me? Of course he’s not. I could make that fold with my eyes closed and not lose a wink of sleep, but can Davey Moneymaker? Unlikely. And as for when we are playing, lord knows. I have my finances all lined up, ready to take all of his Internet millions, but he’s still dodging playing me. We chatted on the phone about it yesterday, and he gave me the Blues Traveler run around. “I don’t know if it’s legal”, “I don’t know how to film it”, “I’m so scared I might poop myself” are all words that more or less came out of his mouth. It might be in August, it might not be until we move into the office, he might have to skip his favorite weekend of the year and come to Aruba. The problem with him coming to Aruba is we aren’t guaranteed to play each other, and it’ll be almost impossible to get the type of footage we want. So we’ll see, folks. We’ll see.

PS: If I’m not playing in the WSOP main event next year my life is a failure. I’ve gone 27 years without playing it, enough is enough.
