Mr. Robot Just Released Their Season 2 Premiere On Twitter
Update: Looks like they pulled it after a few hours based on this tweet:
I didn’t know that tweet would self destruct in a couple of hours. So for those that missed it, I guess read this blog when Mr. Robot premieres on Wednesday night and imagine you watched it Sunday night on the tweet and then read this blog? Deal? Oh, you are telling me to go fuck myself. Understandable. But here’s the blog I wrote anyway.
Ohhhh fuckkkkkk yeahhhhh. I feel like it was just yesterday you could only put like a 7 second Vine on Twitter. Now we have 40+ minute episodes just showing up embedded all willy nilly like it ain’t no thang. And pretty soon we will have full NFL games (I think. I still don’t understand how that’s all going to happen to be honest). What a time to be alive indeed. That little magical blue bird still has a couple of tricks up its sleeve before its inevitable death despite millions and millions of users. Technology, man. Sure Skynet will get us all in the end, but it’s going to be a fun ride until they kill John Connor.
And releasing the season premiere guerrilla style on a slow sports and TV night? Pure genius. Best move USA has made since they added the WWE decades ago. Give that marketing VP a golden star for this one by putting a fastball in the earhole of traditional TV releases. Now time to finish up this episode and pray they release the second episode sometime before midnight. Or at least before it’s supposed to actually air on TV. I’ve been dying to watch Elliot Alderson fuck some shit up via people’s Facebook and technology I don’t quite understand. LETS DO THISSSSS.
