The Internet Losing Its Mind For This No-Look Touchdown Catch In The CFL Means We Need NFL Football To Return Soon
Okay I don’t want to shit on this catch too much because it was pretty cool and just a ridiculous throw from the QB. It looked like an old Madden game where the ball would just stick to a receiver’s hands. But the reactions on the internet over this catch would have you think that it was Tyree’s helmet catch + Manningham’s toe tap + ODB’s one-handed catch all in one (Thanks again God for making me a Giants fan). If something happens in the CFL, it should be discounted about 30%, which is about the same amount you discount a dessert mentally when you see it’s made by Little Debbie. And don’t get me wrong, I love Little Debbie. But she knows she’s the good but cheap dessert snack. So again, great catch in the Little Debbie league of football (and to complete these comparisons, college football = Hostess while the NFL is clearly = Drake’s AKA the king).
Which drives home the point that we are soooooo close to football yet so far away. Now is when you have to talk yourself out of buying that fantasy football magazine while at the grocery store because it’s wayyyyy too early and brace yourself for all the mini heart attacks that hearing a star player got carted off the field during training camp, even though almost everyone gets carted off in the beginning. So thank you to the CFL for trying to get us through the last few dog days before Ed Werder is again living outside of the Cowboys training camp in Oxnard and we count the minutes until the return of one of the best songs in sports today.
